What insurances do you accept?

We participate with most major insurance networks and Medicaid. For specific questions about our status with your insurance plan, please contact us during regular business hours.

What hospitals are you affiliated with?

While Dr. Olteanu maintains courtesy affiliations with many hospitals, we do not make rounds at any hospital. Instead, we work in partnership with pediatric hospitalists at various area institutions.

Do you see families in consultation, including prenatal visits?

Absolutely. We encourage parents to consult with us prenatally to ensure the baby (or babies) an optimally healthy beginning and to discuss our unique approach to child health care. Also, for some families with children with special health care needs, it is ideal to meet first with parents in consultation before meeting with the child. We typically advise this approach for children with autism or other significant medical/neurodevelopmental concerns.

What services do you currently offer?

The Whole Child Texas provides integrative primary care for infants, children, and adolescents, as well as specialized integrative consultations and therapies for families.

How can I learn more about integrative therapies for my family?

We have compiled a list of resources for you on our website

What is your vaccine philosophy?

We recognize that vaccination is one of parents’ most common concerns today. While we welcome a respectful, open dialogue based on the tenets of informed consent, we are in favor of immunization as a public health strategy. We are happy to discuss your concerns at any point and work with you to establish a relationship that we are both comfortable with.

What is your typical well child visit schedule?

We like to see newborns in our office within 2-3 days of birth or discharge from the hospital. Routinely, babies are seen during the first year at 2-4 weeks, 2 m, 4m, 6m, 9m and 12m. During the second year, well child visits are at 15, 18, and 24 months, with subsequent visits at 30 and 36 months, and then yearly. Please note that we will work with you to facilitate a schedule that is best for your family.
